Question:
Does anyone know of a kegal exerciser safe in pregnancy?

I'm 26 weeks pregnant and have realised that i need to start strengthening my pelvic floor before its too late! The thing is that i've read that the most effective way to do this is with some form of resistance. All the kegal exercisers i've found are not safe to use in pregnancy. i've also read that most of the time women do pelvic floor exercises wrong or use the wrong muscles so i thought an exerciser would prevent this. Can anyone recommend an exerciser or a technique of doing pelvic floor exercises the right way?

Uh...A normal, regular kegal exercise works just fine. You don't need any resistance, that just sounds weird.

It's really easy... You're basically just flexing your vagina. If you can stop peeing in the middle of, that's all you need to do, over and over.. But without actually peeing.

I don't know of any exercisers for kegals, but if you're having trouble, how I know that I'm doing it right is to hold your pee midstream when you're going to the bathroom, those muscles right there are the right ones so just practice it everytime you pee and you'll get the hang of it! Good Luck my dear :)

Actually, the thing I was told was that you should ask your OBGYN or midwife at the next appointment. Now, follow me on this one, because it's a little TMI ... when you go for your next appointment, ask them if they could please help you to identify the right muscles. If they do an internal exam and ask you to clench the Kegels, they should be able to feel if you're using the correct muscle group or not. No, I'm not joking about this; I asked my midwife the same thing and it was really useful to know that I had been getting it right all along!

Have you checked out the Kegelmaster? I don't see what the problem with pregnancy would be as long as you keep it clean.
