Sooo sorry buddy, doesn't look good for you. She can take a test now. Some may be neg for 2 to 3 weeks after a missed period. Your dad will have to just get over it if she is. I mean that's his grandchild. And lets face it you should definitely finish school. You'll need a good paying job. Will she be 18 when she has the baby?

Just adding to your last comment...You are scared to death yet you are addimate on not leaving her. Thats really great of you. Most guys your age would never return another call. You seem like a smart guy you guys will work it out some how.

Stop freaking out for a moment. Do you love her? That will help you get through any outcome.

Find out if she's pregnant...it's not too early to test.

Ask her what she would like to do if she is? It is ultimately her choice whether or not she will have a child if she is pregnant. Accept it and be supportive either way.

If she is pregnant then you need to tell her parents this information only if it is decided to keep the child. Explain to them that calling the police will end your scholarship and that this scholarship will give you an opportunity to support the child better than any shift at McDonalds could. Then you're on a long hard road but you'll survive.

If she isn't pregnant...STOP BEING A KNUCKLEHEAD and use protection. YOU not just her, it' s obvious that the scholarship is important to you. Never, NEVER, NEVER go without a condom...kids are serious business. Don't give up your youth so soon...STOP being irresponsible!

End of lecture.

No, she should take a pregnancy test now since her period is late, because it would be very accurate, if it's negative then she's more than likely not pregnant but needs to go to the doctor to see what's wrong. Second, I don't know what state you live in, but in most states the police can't do anything to you if she's over 16 ( even though she's still considered a minor), and your under 21. I dated a 20 yr old when I was 17, and the police said that my parents could not do anything about it. Third, don't freak out yet! Have her take a pregnancy test ( get a reliable one like EPT, not a cheapo one!), and when you find out then start thinking of what you are going to do. Either way, you were both responsible enough to have unprotected sex so you may have to deal with the consequences.

To find out if she is pregnant you can either just get a home pregnancy test, or get online and search for the city you live in and there is a place called planned parenthood, they are very supportive, and will help with everything and your g/fs parents will never know about her going there, and being that is is only 17 and if she doesnt have a job it will be pretty much FREE to go there and get what ever you need to be done, and being that she is 17 I am pretty sure 17 is that age where her parents can not do anything it is all up to her judgement, and there is nothing wrong with a 17 and a 19 year old being together

but first find out if she is pregnant before you get yourself all worked up...

Well this is something you should have asked BEFORE having unprotected sex! Sounds like she could be pregnant...you will not know for suere unless you guys get a home pregnancy test which you can do at any time since she has missed her period. If she is pregnant then you both need to sit down and decide together what you are going to do...if she wants to keep the baby then do not push her to not. If you both decide that now is not a good time then go for abortion (not that I am for abortions because I am not). You guys made that baby together and should accept the consequences of your actions no matter what parents will do. If you both decide to keep the baby then sit down and come up with a plan...how you will be able to afford the baby and living arrangements. Usually if you think ahead and present parents with your plan...they feel less worried about their babies! If he threatens the police then present the scholarship issue and tell him if you lose it then you will have nothing to ensure the support of your g/f and child! Also consider marriage...only if you know you love this girl though. Never ever egt married because you think it is the right thing to do!!! 9 times out of 10 it ends in divorce and hurts the child!

Ok you're in a pickle. 1st thing- don't panic it'll only make things worse. What I would do is wait a bit. I didn't know I was pregnant till iwas 2 months along. Wait atleast 3 weeks before taking a test or else buy the EPT in a week- don't get cheep ones they lie! she's seventeen so there isn't much her dad can do honestly (my aunt was a cop and we had alot of these things happen) so don't panic about that- you are NOT going to go to jail. If she is pregnant BOTH of you need to talk to her parents it's the respectfull thing to do but first make a plan for the future parents are real big into that when this happends. tell them that you will take responsibility for the child because after all you helped make it and theres nothing worse, more than a guy who got someones little girl pregnant and wasn't man enough to stay and take care of the baby and mom. As for your scholarship it'll be hard but theres ways to do it all, but think 5+ years down the road when you see that baby calling you dad and going through life with a little one looking up to you and ask yourself if your life was really ruined... if you wanna talk let me know. shelbytigers2000@yahoo.com I also have yahoo messanger.

Just remember to BREATH!

It is the perfect time to get a pregnancy test. I am about to give you some really bad advice: instead of killing a baby if she is pregnant, the two of you should come together and decide that your story would be that you thought she was 18, or she told you she was 18, or she had the impression that you knew that she was 17 when you thought she was 18. I don't think anyone could get locked up for that. But I would rather do that than killing my own flesh and blood for trying to not get people angry. I know it would be tough losing your scholarship but remember that you made the decision to have unprotected sex meaning you would have to be prepared to deal with the consequences. Keep your fingers crossed. Oh yeah....I don't know if she would get in trouble for not giving up your name until she is 18. Good luck!

The best time to take a home pregnancy test is when she has missed her period. The test should be taken first thing in the morning because that is when the urine contains the most pregnancy hormones (if she is pregnant) that makes the test turn positive.

Plus, if you had unprotected sex last week....it is usually way too early to be showing pregnancy symptoms....fatigue, morning sickness, sore breasts. Usually, these symptoms show up between 4-6 weeks after fertilization.

Take this as a lesson and use a condom each and every time!!! A nite of passion is not worth a lifetime of responsiblity when you're not ready for it!!! Good luck!!!

Arizona, California, Iowa, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, Tennessee, Virgina, and Wisconsin are (according to this chart, somebody correct me if I'm wrong)

http://www.coolnurse.com/consent.htm

the only states that require you to be 18 for consenual sex. That means that (unless you live in those states) you can't get arrested for statutory rape. IF your g/f is pregnant then you and her are going to have to come to a informed ADULT decision. I don't know what your beliefs are so you have two or three choices. Even though it will be hard, you should tell your parents because she is under 18. IF she's not pregnant than I urge you to use protection EVERYTIME. Good luck and remember everything happens for a reason.

Take her to the doctor so that she can get an official pregnancy test that will be accurate. If she is pregnant then just have you have to go with your gf talk with her parents. My thinking is that the parents are going to want what is best for the baby, and that would be for its father to get a college degree. Especially since she is 17 its not like 14 the age gap is not big at all. I think that you will be ok as long as you talk to her parents w/ her like a mature adult that is accepting responsibility for their actions....On a side note, mistakes like this can cost you your life. No protection, underage sex--i dont need to tell you how stupid that is! you are in college where there is tons of women, you should not be approaching high school girls.

I think that if you knew that it was going to be a problem if she got pregnant you at least had to put a condom on.... but well, things happen for a reason, you can go to a drug store and buy a pregnancy test and do it, if the test is positive, DON'T PANIC, be there for your girl, try to keep calm and when the moment is correct you both tell her parents once you have talked as a couple. If the test is negative, make another one in 3 days or go to a doctor. Good luck!!

I sure want to make you feel better, but I cannot for the life of me imagine why you put the scholarship at risk. I'm not saying I didn't play some "dumb cards" when younger, but they didn't involve my career.

You need to get her to take a pregnancy test when it is time enough, and you have to be a man about the results. Know what you think is the right thing to do when the moment comes, or talk it over with a trusted friend or older relative. You don't run a football play that isn't scripted, so you get the big play ready if you have to change your game plan.

I was 17 and got pregnant. My son is now 10 weeks old. My boyfriend was older also. What you do is stay by her side. If you love her you wont leave. Its not to early to take a test. If she is pregnant you two should talk. And then go to her parents and talk. Just stay calm because if she may be pregnant freaking out wont help it. Stress in the early stages of pregnancy may cause miscarriages. So I hope I answered your question. Hope it helps.

They have 5 day tests.. Sounds like it has been at least a week or two so it's PLENTY long enough to take a test... Get her to take a test then if she is pregant ..Sucks man, but you have to live up to your responsibilty.. I dont think her dad can throw you in jail since she is 17 and that's kinda BARELY legal... She could probably fight anything he would try to do.. diff states may ahve different laws on that.. not sure where you are at.. But maybe she can continue to live with her parents and you guys can get through this without to many finical probs.. If she isn't preg...NEVER let it happen again!!

I feel for you man!

You didn't say when she will be 18. If it is soon wait until she turns to tell her parents but, you should have thought of these things before you had unprotected sex with a minor. By the way I am not condoning what you did but, I am positive you are afraid of jail so it's just a suggestion. You could also suggest she get an abortion if you believe in that type of thing.

Well, there aren't too many options for you, and I know some people on here aren't gonna like what I'm gonna say. But the both of you are obviously not ready to have a child, so I suggest having an abortion. And depending where you live, it's starts at about $300. And the sooner, the better.

you will be ok because the legal age for a girl to start having sex is 16 and she is 17 and ur 19 you should be fine with that situation!! now the other situation .......this happened to my best friend and she had all the symptoms your girlfriend has so let her wait 2 weeks after the date she is suppose to have her period and then after she takes a test to go make a doctors appointment and they will do bloodtests and they can find out if she is!! then there are some decisions that you two have to make if she is pregnant!! good luck!

Calm down. There is a lot of things you can do to verify if she is really pregnant. Check this site for more information : http://www.reachout.com.au/. Be careful, don't let her down. It's the worst you can do. You are not sure yet if she is pregnant. If you let her down, I can assure you that you will take it in your conscious all your life that you have leave your lover and a little innocent baby.

Thats why you always use protection orr she should be on the pill . even tho it sometimes doesn't work .

Calm down.

Its not to early for her to take a test .

But id consider going to the hospital to get bloodwork .

because the tests you buy at the stores can be fake .

[ihaveproof]

[(sister took test at home , it was negative. ..went to the hopsital .. positive . im gonna be a aunt :] )]

If she is pregnant , you need to step up and take responsibilities of what you have done .

Check the chart!

But she could just have been late on her period, doesnt always mean you have to be pregnant , this is caused by a

number of things.

Oh dear!

Yes, she can take a pregnancy test now. Many pregnancy tests can tell if she's pregnant less than a week after she misses her period.

And also, please, may i suggest that you abstain? at least until she's 18, so that you're no longer committing a crime by sleeping with her. Remember, the law holds you (as the adult) accountable for those actions.

""what the hell will i do if my g/f get pregnant???""

Overlooking the obvious point that this should have been the question you asked yourself BEFORE sex, now you are looking at possible effects.

she is underage and your girlfriend. You will probably have to accept your responsibility and behave like a mature adult about supporting your g/f and child. It just may keep you from being arrested on the underage part.

You worry about losing a scholarship.......what about the girl having to raise a kid at 17????
Megsee25
2007-11-06 09:56:11 UTC
Wait until she takes the test to freak out, most younger girls don't know their bodies well enough to determine when the periods should occur and many are irregular.

If she is pregnant then you have to deal with it, does she love you? If so perhaps it is unlikely that her Dad will call the police because then there will be no one to help her take care of the baby.

2016-03-14 04:34:14 UTC
Well, most likely not. Usually when a female is pregnant she stops menstrating for the remainder of the pregnancy. However, some females continue menstrating throughout the whole time. Wait and see if she gets her period next month. If she got it a week early, then apparently her body was ready for it. If she is on birth control and STILL got her period a week early, make sure she is taking them at the same time DAILY. Hope this helps.

Look up the statutory rape laws in your state. In some states the age difference has to be more than 4 years in order for it to qualify as a crime.

You had unprotected sex. What did you think was going to happen? If she is pregnant all you can do is be a man and take responsibility for yourself. And for God's sake, get her to the doctor!

2007-11-06 09:57:09 UTC
1. you cant get arrested you are both legal to have sex.

2. she wouldnt get changes that soon if she were pregnant

3. she could have missed a period for a number of reasons the most common is usually stress. this can also cause and increased appetite and a change in mood which you have also mentioned

4. get her to do a test, if she is pregnant stand by her whatever is decided
casinoman_1999
2007-11-06 09:55:01 UTC
All because she missed a month doesnt mean she is pregnant. You can get a pregnancy test at the store. If you are so worried about having a baby then why did you have unprotected sex to begin wtih. Maybe you learned your lesson.

Now it's a good time for her to have a pregnancy test. Of course she could be pregnant, and I think it's needless to say you should've used a condom. And instead of thinking of a football scholarship, think of the trauma she'll have to go through -- physically and mentally, if she'll have an abortion.

2007-11-06 10:27:03 UTC
Well, that's the consequence for your actions.

You should get her tested to actually see if she is pregnant and if she is, go from there.

At your age, I would have an abortion. You both aren't ready for a child.

2007-11-06 09:56:45 UTC
calm down... get her a test, and if you really want to be certain then go and get a blood test at a doctors office... but first calm down.... trust me i thought my dad was going to kill my boyfriend when i told him, but nope... my boyfriend took responsibility. and thats what you should do. if you two arent ready then there are plenty of options... you can have an abortion or give it up for adoption. you have to think about your school, can you support a baby financially, are you emotionally ready to take on the responsibility especially being on a scholarship and in college? talk to your girlfriend... discuss the options... who knows she might not even be pregnant, but get a test take it, and if you dont trust those results go and get a blood test

good luck...
anonymous
2007-11-06 09:54:51 UTC
No one can tell you what to do if she is pregnant, but some home pregnancy tests can tell up to a week before her period was due, so you need to go buy her a test and get some answers before you keep worrying and the next time use protection so you do not have to go through this again.

i went to a website - pregnancy.lovetoknow.com, and it says that you should wait at least 1 week after having missed your period before taking a pregnancy test, so your girlfriend should be ok to take one now. to be 100 percent sure, tho, she should go and have a blood test at a clinic or doctor's office. second, i don't think you will get arrested for having sex with one another, unless the legal age of consent in your area is 18. hope this helps

2007-11-06 10:03:16 UTC
Well, first of all calm down. If she has missed her period than she can take a test straight away. Even though those are pregnancy symptoms it would be too early for her to be experiencing them.

She is over 16 so you will probably be ok legally speaking and her father may be ok with it if he can see that you will be there for her.

Get her to do a test straight away and then think of your options. Best of luck!

2007-11-06 10:06:01 UTC
you need to find out if she is or not pregnant.

then the both of you need to talk about your option and your belief. and since you are the man then you should very sensitive to her choice. then lets say she wants to go through with her pregnancy then thats when u find away for her to come to stay nearby your location. if that cant happen i think football season is almost over so u need to find ways to be there for her or arrange for her to come see you airtran has low fares as low as 39 dollars one way but you have to book them at least 21 or 14 days in advance

i believe that it will all work out

but the first thing for her to do is find out before both of you all go crazy

hope i helped

Eeeks! It is not to early for her to take the test b/c most tests can detect as early as 4 days BEFORE the missed period. I would have her take one ASAP.

For your sake, I hope she is not. It appears that you have a lot to lose. I hope that everything turns out for the best.

Whatever the outcome, be as supportive of her as you can. This will be a lot harder on her than you. Alienating her would be a bad thing.

Good luck to you both!

If she is already late then she can take a pregnancy test. Get a very good one and have her take it. Don't worry till you actually know. She could also just be stressed and that will make it late and make her eat more if she is an emotional eater. Good luck.

Let's say she is pregnant. The sooner you two find out the better. Get her to a clinic. There are many options open to her. She can put the baby up for adoption and each of you can go on with his/her life. I don't know why any young person today would have unprotected sex. It is so dangerous. You both need to be checked for sexually transmitted diseases as well.

Well be responsible is number one. Just take some time and check with planned parent hood on getting her tested.....She may not be.....If she is, then may as well hit it all out because it will come to that. Wouldnt you rather be in control of the situation then her or your father......Good Luck

maybe wait a week or two then check or go in to tyhe dr. and have blood test done. well you gotta figure out if she is what you two want to do im goin through the same situation except for i am pg and 17 and my b/f is 19.honestly its your guys responsibility. if you wan to have sex then your capable of the consequences. you can give it up for adoption but no abortion cause its not hte babys fault you two had sex and brought the child in this world. you two gotta a lot of thinking you guys can still raise the baby and go to college and work and keep the baby and have support of family and friends. thats what i have to do me and my b/f. good luck

DIDN'T YOU THINK ABOUT PREGNANCY BEFORE YOU TOOK YOUR CLOTHES OFF??

I feel sorry for all you young kids out there, but come on already...You knew it could happen, so you shouldnt of put yourself in that position. If she is pregnant, then you need to be a "man" and be there for her.

talk to each of your parents first, head to the doctor to get a pregnancy test, and for the sake of all unwanted babies

USE PROTECTION!!!!!

Should have thought of that before. Check to see what the legal age of consent is for your state. For some, its 16 or 17, for others, its 18. Depending what state you are in, it may be perfectly legal for a 17 y/o girl to consent to sex with a 19 y/o. Here's a link to check for your state:

It depends on what state your in... In some states, 18 is the only age for consent and under 16 is statitory rape and 16-18 is sexual assault no matter if she says it ok with her.

first of all-dont jump to conclusions.stress can make her late. And you need to find out what the age of consent is in your state, city, county, whatever. If shes 17 leally shes old enough to give consent,so that it cant be considered statutory rape.this is a decision the two of you need to make together, not something you are bullied into what others think is right.contact me if you need any help with the decision making process.

That would have been a great question to ask last month.

I suggest you take her father out to a real nice restaurant quick.

You should have thought of that before you laid down with a 17 year old. You shouldn't be worrying about her father if she's pregnant. You should be worrying about what the media will say once it gets leaked.

Good luck with that...

Leave her now, if you don't love her and don't want to ruin your life. Send her money in secret if she has the baby, but don't do anything else.

Get her birth control pills and stuff.
