Question:
My pregnancy test came out negative but .. it looks like it's still loading. PLEASE HELP!?
2008-11-05 20:20:48 UTC
I took a pregnancy test I peed on it ALOT, because I held it in. It wouldn't load after like 2-3 minutes, after I put the cap back on, so I took the cap off and put the cap back on. Now, the negative started showing. But I never saw the loading bar. I guess something went wrong. Now, all I can see is (besides the negative sign), one side mostly pink, but about 1/4 grey. It looks like it's loading. But it's not moving. The negative sign is dark. Like, there's TWO colors in the background. PINK AND GREY . I looked veryy veryyy closely. Please, tell me that this test is wrong...

It sounds like it may be defective. Take another one with first morning urine.

Well you might have peed too much on it. But negatives are usually right seen as how they detect hcg. I was bored and pregnant and I wanted to see if used tests would pick up a positive and it did.... so i had like 4 used ones in the garbage can in the bathroom and peed on them thru out the day for shts and giggles and they all detected I was pregnant even though they were from like 2 weeks before when i had negatives. so I doubt your test is wrong. I'm not saying it's 100% sure you aren't pregnant, take another and don't pee on it so much. I'd wait till morning though so you have a higher concentration of hormones if you are pregnant.

First of all... You are only supposed to hold them in the stream for a certain amount of time. If after 3 min it hasn't shown a result then the test didn't take and you will need to take a new one. It sounds like the test either got too much on it, or you didn't follow the direction right. It's easier for us to tell you if we have a picture of the test screen to look at as well..... Take a new test and see how that turns out. Good luck.

The test probably is wrong if it's not even showing up right. Get another test and take it. Only pee on it for the amount of seconds the paper tells you to (which is only a few seconds on the ones I have taken) and then put the cap on and put it on a flat surface.

you have a 1 in 10 chance of getting a dud test - and it looks like you were the 1.

go out and buy another and try to only pee on it for 5 sec and then put it aside and dont touch it until it loads.

Good luck with it!

As a mother of three. Always buy pregnancy tests in the two pack. Try again with a new test. And the best time to test is in the morning. Good luck.

I took 3 pregnancy tests last week and the first test I took was similar to what you are describing. Mine ultimately came out positive after about five minutes. The other two tests came out positive rather quickly. It would help if you told us what type of test you're using.

It sounds like a defected test, I would try to take another one. If you can not read the line ones well, one line is always lighter then the other one, try using a digital test, they are a little bit more expensive, but there is no guessing afterward if there are two lines or one line.

The digital tests are TERRIBLE!!!!! I tried one this time around and it didn't work at all. I went back to the store, picked up a regular old fashioned one and got two lines (positive result) in mid stream. My advice: Get your money back, buy a cheap two pack, and retest in the morning.

I would take the test again as it think that you have peed on it to much. it shoud say how long to have in the stream of urine for. Good luck and hope you get the answer that you are looking for

First off, you aren't suppose to 'pee on it alot.' Usually for only 3-5 seconds. You should have read the instructions and you'd know that.

Second, the digital ones are notorious for malfunctioning. Get an old fashioned one line-no, two line-yes test. Less of a chance for error when used correctly.

I would say definitley retest and it is important not to oversaturate the test stick so maybe urinate into a cup and then hold it in for however long the box says. Oversaturating can make it invalid.

did you lay it on a flat surface?

you're supposed to pee a little, put it in the stream for 3-5 seconds and lay it on a flat surface immediately.

definitely re-take it.

in the morning is best.

I would try a different brand. I found the cheap ones to be very accurate and very easy to use. The one you tried might be defective.

Faulty test...call the # on the box. I got them to refund my money...you can buy extremely cheap ones at early-pregnancy-tests.com

Just take another one. They're not expensive. Try the digital one next time.

maybe you held it in for too long??? i think its suppose to be 3-5 seconds. the box would say!

nope most likely not. the excess fat might be left over because before you recieve the egg into your uterous your body makes room for the egg by surrounding the uterous in protines and fat etc... that is probly what and where your weight is comin form.

how about you take another test, & READ the directions carefully.
