Weird sensation...???

Question

I have a weird sensation of being scratched with sharp nails from the inside out.
I'm 24 weeks pregnant and I keep getting this weird sensation, it is not so much painful, but odd.
I appriciate that it can't be the baby (can it?) because it is in a sac...what could be causing this sensation ????

It is your uterus stretching. It feels like the baby running his fingernails down the inside of your bump. Don't worry, it's completely normal and nothing to worry about. Good luck!

Not sure if this helps but here goes. My cousin had this feeling when she was expecting. She couldn't stop scratching but also could never kill the itch!! She couldn't sleep so she went to the doc and it was something to do with her liver due to being pregnant! It wasn't serious so don't worry but it was uncomfortable so they ended up inducing her labour a little early. See your G.P and good luck! X.

itd help to know how old you were. it can be any number of things from cancer to stress to teething to wisdom teeth to a withdrawl symptons. theirs a list find out what fits you best. tho dont chew on metal i dont know what it is but it can rlllllllly screw your teeth up. chew on carrots and such. and you mite wanna check with your dentist cause (this is what i think) your grinding your teeth at night. like as you sleep you just grind your teeth together which is not good and you mite have to get a mouth guard if thats what it is but definitely schedule and appointment with the dentist

Where is this pain?



your uterus is a muscle. Maybe the sensation is from the muscle stretching. I would talk to your doctor, it will put your mind at ease.

Im not sure what you mean, but does it feel like fingers clawing at you on the inside? Because i get that sometimes and it feels like my baby is tickling me with its fingers, it feels weird and i dont know what it is.

maybe the baby is sitting funny on a nerve, that happens from time to time the bigger you get the more often it happens.
