My entire pregnancy I haven't had much trouble at all with the common side effect
constiaption. In fact for the past month if had VERY loose stool which I know is normal. But now at 37 weeks all of a sudden that took a turn!! Why would that be? I thought dirrarhea was especially common as you approach labor?
(Pardon the subject matter, but it's all normal & part of pregnancy) thanks!!

I've been lucky with both my pregnancies and not had anything unusual in the stool department. I have found a really interesting picture of how the growing baby moves your internal organs - including the colon. Which goes some way to explain the variety ;o)

Yes, as you approach full time, Baby is taking up so much space, digestion can really slow down. Are you drinking enough? especially with warmer weather now and being heavily pregnant, make sure you are having plenty to drink. Also, perhaps you have changed your diet slightly lately, plenty of fruit and veg should help keep you regular. If concerned mention it to your midwife/doctor, All the best xxxx
