What are the different test you can take to tell if you are pregnant?

i know you can take a pregnancy test and do a blood test at the doctors but are they other test or like a sonogram they tells you if your pregnant, and when should you take them?

Yea, I would do a home pregnancy test first because it is the cheapest out of all three options. If you do a home pregnancy test I would recommend using the early first response digital or just a regular early first response. I just like the digital better because it gives you a clear yes or no answer. Also, that brand has never failed me. Second step whether you got a positive or negative would be to go to the doctors and have a blood test done if you still feel like you are pregnant. They can detect your HCG levels through a blood test and confirm a pregnancy, although I've heard crazy stories where even a blood test came up negative to women who were in fact pregnant and went on to have healthy babies. Last, would be a vaginal ultrasound or just tummy ultrasound to see if they can find a gestational sac...that would def. confirm a pregnancy and they can figure out how far along you are and a due date. An ultrasound but the cheapest way to find out is a pregnancy test, followed by a blood test, followed by an ultrasound.

Doctor's won't do an ultrasound to detect pregnancy, only urine test or blood test. They do the ultrasound to confirm the health of the pregnancy.

Pee on a stick. If you are still unsure, request a blood test. That is it pretty much. They don't do a sonogram usually until you are pretty far along, unless they want to check dates or something.
