Am I 4 months pregnant or nearly 5 months?

Im 19 weeks pregnant, am I still classed as 4 months or nearly 5 months gone. I have my 20 week scan next week. Surely that means Im half way? But Im not due until end of June, which makes it a 10 month pregnancy? At the end of my May I will be 36 weeks which is 9 months? Im confused.

If u take a look at a calendar the months r longer then 4 weeks

You are about 4 1/2 months pregnant. Months are not exactly four weeks so at 20 weeks you would be almost five months. However, most people don't understand this so just count your pregnancy by weeks.



If it helps you understand I am currently 31 weeks 4 days and consider myself seven months because my due date is exactly two months away (it's January 29th and I'm due March 29th). However, if I divided 31 weeks by 4 weeks, I would be almost 7 1/2 months which is not correct as I still have over eight weeks to go to reach the end of the ninth month.

yes, if you are pregnant the whole 40 weeks you reach 10 months. That is correct. Sounds like we are due the same time, June 28th for me. I will be 19 weeks on tuesday and am having my ultra sound then.Weeks divided by 4= months



19/4= 4.75 so almost 5

19wks would be about 4 1/2 mos. 4 wks is only 28 days, and most mos. are 30-31 days. In weeks a full term preganacy is considered 40wks-so at week 20, yes you would be halfway there. Sorry if I just confused you.

well, you're in your 4th month, but you're almost 5 months...mind you that there are 4.3 weeks in a month, not 4 exactly, so divide however many weeks you are by 4.3 and it'll tell you how many months exactly you are. and pregnancy is 9 1/2 months long, not 10.
