Question:
Confusion with due date...?

From my first scan at 12 weeks there has been confusion with my EDD.
My LMP was 13th June 2010 meaning I would have an EDD of 20th March 2011. At my first scan at 12 weeks they measured my baby and then changed my EDD to 2nd April 2011, I didn't agree with this date but thought being as they're the professionals they know what they're doing!
I recently went for an appointment with my midwife. At the time of the appointment I was 31 weeks 3 days pregnant and she said I was measuring 34. This is the second time i've measured bigger, so I know it's not just because he's lying funny.
If I was measuring 34 this would tie in perfectly with my original dates, so i'm wondering whether I should ask them to double check my EDD? I know it's only 2 weeks and it doesn't matter a huge deal, but i'm planning to work until late in my pregnancy and so need to know so that i'm not working past his due date!
I was just wondering what everyone else would do in my situation? Is there any way for the midwifes to find out exactly how many weeks I am and would they change my EDD again? What date would you be going off?
Thanks

I have the same problem. My EDD puts me at conceiving during a week my husband and I never even did the BD. I had an irregular period and TTC was like hell, but I'm pretty darn sure I didn't conceive when they say I did. My baby has consistently measured a week or two ahead, which is around the time I thought I was ovulating according to the test strips, but I don't bother to question the ultrasound or the doctor. I am planning on working until I go into labor, (usually happens at home anyway), so my due date doesn't really make a difference. If you're planning to begin maternity leave before your due date, two weeks can make a huge difference financially. It's also important because you don't want to be induced thinking you're two weeks late, when you're in fact right on time, because it's not healthy for the baby. I would discuss your concerns with your doctor and see if there's anything they can do at this point. It may be difficult because babies grow according to genetics after week 12 and can be larger or smaller than "average." But they may have a few tricks up their sleeves.

I have the same issues!

My LMP was 24th June with a due date of March 30th. 1st and 2nd blood work confirmed it too- as did the 1st ultrasound! Come the nuchal scan done between 11-13 weeks... Me thinking it's fine I'm 12+5- nope they said not possible- baby is too small blah blah blah! And pushed me back to 10th April, I wasn't happy!

My husband and I BD once that month because we gave up ttc, for them to have my EDD at 10th April- I many positive tests at 2 weeks along... We all know that's not possible!!

I complained alot and have had my EDD brought down to 4th April and I suppose that's better enough for now lol

Although I have preeclampsia and probably won't make it to then anyways lol

Your 12 weeks scan is going to be more accurate as ALL fetus' have the exact same growth rate up to this point - after this they can have varying growth rates which would make any dating scans after this not as accurate - hence the reason why some are born 6lbs and others more than 9lbs

Its unlikely that they will give you another scan for fetal growth this late in the game

even with the undeniable fact which you don't get pregnant till approximately 2 weeks into your cycle all pregnancies are calculated from the 1st day of your final era, it fairly is in basic terms the way it fairly works. So i assume technically you're in basic terms pregnant for 38 weeks yet as maximum folk do not understand precisely while the ovulate it is least complicated to calculate out of your final era, understand that how many days your cycle lasts (ie. 28 days is seen the norm.) transformations what you due date could be.
