Hey I took mine at 10DPO and it came up positive - I also have a 35 day cycle. I think everyone is different as to when they get a positive result. Did you ovulate around 7 November? If you did today you are 9DPO and I think you could try with some cheap tests from tomorrow then do it every other day as if you are pregnant the hormone levels double every couple of days so easier to detect. Make sure your pregnant test will test at a low level such as 25 u/ml. I used a cheap one and got such a faint line but there was a line all the same then bought a clearblue digital to confirm later that day. BEST OF LUCK AND BABYDUST XX

Hi Samantha! My husband and I sadly had a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks last September. We are still absolutely crushed from the loss, there is not a minute in my day that I dont think about our lost little angel.

we have just started trying again since we got the ok from my doc. My last period was October 18, and I too have a 35 day cycle and my period is due this coming Sunday (22 nov) I have been very impatient and started testing 10 days ago and so far had 5 negatives :( I found out at 4wks with my last pregnancy so I have been hoping that if I am now, that I would test positive already, but no luck yet! I was starting to feel 'pregnant' a few days ago but now with more negative tests, I am losing hope. There is still 5 days till my period is due so i am keeping my fingers crossed! Has anyone else tested negative only to test positive later on?? Does anyone out there think there is still hope for me??

All the best for your pregnancy test Samantha

textbook always says you ovulate 14 days before the next period is due. So logically, if a test works after 14 days, you should take one when you are overdue; unless you have a better date for ovulation, from a test or something. You still have to wait about 14 days. (Nov. 21)

If you have money to throw away and you really want to know, you could try those early tests like "First Response" that claim to be accurate in 10 days or less - 4 days before you're due. (Nov. 17?) First sample of the morning is most concentrated. However, sometimes you don't make enough hGC to register on the test for a while, so early false ngatives are not uncommon.

Good luck!!

I have a 34-39 day cycle. It's hell, I tell you! However, I tested early this time and got a positive when I was only technically 4 days pregnant. I thought it was about 2 weeks. When I went for my first u/s, the doc said i was 6 weeks, 2 days. I counted back and figured out that that meant my positive test happened 4 days after conception! LOL I told the doctor that, and she said that today's tests can be very sensitive.

If you want to test, then test. If you get a negative and then skip your period, test again. You can buy a package with three tests in it, so there a plenty available for re-testing.

Lots of luck!

NO. if your cycle is 35 days your only on day 30 i believe. it would be too early and probably a waste of money. there are some people who show up a few days b4 the missed period. if money is no issue then sure stock up on some tests but if it IS an issue i would wait til this Thursday at the earliest.. and even then it might be too early. i recommend getting a box with 2 tests that way if its negative thursday u can re-test friday or saturday morning.

You're best off waiting until your period is actually late. Otherwise TTCing gets expensive! Saying that though, there are tests which allow you to test a couple of days early but you are more likely to get an inaccurate result because the pregnancy hormones might not have risen high enough.

The best time to test to get the most accurate result is the day you miss your period. You can test a few days before you miss you period but you may get a false neg.good luck and baby dust

Answering again:

Well it's not about what we think its about what the directions on the box say..depending on the test...like if it were a First Response I think the directions say for most accurate results you need to test the day of your expected period (or a few days after) but you can test up to 4 or 5 days before. But the earlier before your expected period you test, the less accurate your result is.

Read the test directions on when to test

If your period is regular, always on time, then the best time to take the test is once youre 3-5 days late. Best time to take the test is in the morning, during your first pee of the day.

There is a really great site www.justmommies.com and it has this ovulation Calculator tool that will actually tell you when you should be able to take a HPT and get the best result. I used it and got a BFP 1 day before it said I was okay to test. GOOD LUCK and LOT'S and LOT's of BABY DUST!

I test positive 3 days before my period was due...some say they work up to 5 days before? I recommend the digital Clear Blue Easy and you should be able to test any day now. Good luck!

When I was ttc I became addicted to tests and found that you can get them at the dollar tree for a dollar. It actually was a dollar tree test that tested positive first. Happy testing and good luck.

I am also on a 35 day cycle, and I didn't show positive until day 36. I'd definitely wait.
90% of the time I am 68% right

If you have conceived your HGC levels may be high enough now. I would wait until the 30th day or 5 days before your period should come.

good luck
