Did you have one? What did your ob/gyn prescribe? I had one and took Macrobid, which upset my stomach horribly, and now I have another one and the Dr. wants me to take antibiotics until my 36th week! I was just wondering if any of you have used other antibiotics in your pregnancy to treat a UTI?

Yes i had two of them during my pregnancy the first time my doctor prescribed me Macrobid, but as soon as the medicine was out my uti came right back. Then he came me Bactrim which helped and it never came back. I was around week 28ish when i got them. Good Luck!

I had a uti and the antibiotics cleared it up after a week. Sounds like yours is much worse. UTI's can be dangerous in pregnancy only if they are left untreated. Take your antibiotics for as long as the doctor says and everything will be fine. UTI's are common during pregnancy and your doctor knows what he is doing so relax. Hope this helps.

Yes mine got so bad that I had to be admitted into the hospital for IV antibiotics for 4 days - they kept me on Keflex for the remainder of my pregnancy I was 22 weeks at the time of my admission
