I'd love to hear what cravings you have or had during pregnancy.
I loved eating ice cubes all day. Which isn't too bad but you hear of some ladies having weird cravings. What were yours?

With my first baby I had a craving for jacket potatoes with beans and cheese and chocolate buttons (had to be the giant ones!) I would have a mouthful of potato and then a choccy button.

With my second it was icecream with yoghurt on! My hubby filled the freezer with tubs of raspberry ripple so I didn't run out! What a star!!!

With my son I didn't really have any wierd cravings, I did eat a lot though!! One thing was that I went off hot pizza, and I would only eat it cold out of the fridge the next day.. lol

With this pregnancy (I'm 40 weeks 3 days with a girl), I have had a craving to chew sellotape all the way through, I'm not sure why, it's odd! Also, I never liked chocolate before, and now I crave it! Not giving in to that one too much though!

Sorry - answering on my husbands account!!

Like a few others on here - my big one was ice! Just big lumps of it!

Otherwise, the only thing I enjoyed or wanted to eat was spicy food, chilli, curries, mexican, anything! Don't know if that was a craving or not though??

And it was a boy.

Have heard of a few people with the ice thing have boys. For those who are UK and who'll know who I mean - I was pregnant last year at the same time as Davina McCall and gave birth about a month before. I remember her saying on tv she'd got a craving for ice and I had a bet with my husband that she'd have a boy because of that and she did. Strange.

When I was pregnant with my oldest daughter, I craved peanut butter and slim jim's. I didn't want to entertain that craving because my conscience mind thought it was disgusting. Until, one day I stopped at a gas station to get some munchies and I realized I was alternating bites between a reese's peanut butter cup and a slim jim. That was the weirdest one.

My other cravings were normal, like tater tots or chocolate milk or cheese. But I wanted only that all the time!

I never had anything disgusting, however on two separate months, I had some things that I just had to have everyday.

I didn't find out I was pregnant until I was 4 1/2 months along. But starting the 4th month, I had to have fries and cobbler everyday. I worked at Ponderosa at the time, so this was possible. I had no idea what was going on until I found out.

The last month, I had to have grilled cheese and ramen noodles every single day. Needless to say, my son loves his grilled cheese and noodles.

I just remembered that I could NOT stomach the smell of Taco Bell. It took me till about 4 years after I had my son to bring myself to eat there again.

Never had anything out of the ordinary but mine were marmite on toast (loved marmite before being pregnant but it just multiplyed when i was), tomatoes(only raw!!) and the smell of plastic toys (brand new ones) i used to make just a slit in the package and stiff it non stop lol, there was 1 plus side for the marmite...... it contains folic acid so couldnt be too bad

one of my friends cravings was mash potatoe, and another friend of mine would drink a litre of lemonade a day when pregnant.

Mine were weird!!

With my first son I craved chocolate and mince pies. I also ate ice pops and ice cubs. And the dinner I ate most was a huge plate of mashed potato, with a tin of tuna in the middle!

With my second son, they were abnormal, but were guided by smells, rather than tastes. I ate paper, sometimes just sucking it and spitting it out, but often swallowing it too. I got through 4 catalogues in my whole pregnancy...and I couldn't hold any type of book/magazine without it going to my mouth...the smell was just delightful!! I also used to sniff white spirit, until my partner took it away because he was scared it would harm the baby!

Both children are normal...well as normal as normal can be!

Oh, man, where do you start?

I have 5 kids; different cravings on each of them. On my first, I went crazy for a particular kind of ice-pop called ORANGUTAN; I bought them by the dozen and stored them in the freezer. I could eat six an evening, and they helped to quell the nausea.

On my fifth, my nausea was so bad and went on through the whole 9 months....the only thing that would stay in my stomach was very spicy food. I began putting chillies in everything, even in scrambled eggs...

My sister just had her second, and HER craving was for FIRELIGHTERS!! Yes, those paraffin-soaked white sticks with tiny pieces of charcoal in them!! she nibbled them all day - and as she smokes too, we gave her a very wide berth when she lit up in case she exploded!

Oh my Gawd!

I have not had the ice craving, but I have had cravings for meat (which, Im a vegitarian), fries, and Mac and cheese. Which is really unhealthy, but thats what I usually want.

But for aversions, I cannot even think about Spinach and Artichoke dip b/c it gets me nauseas. It terrible...I used to love it...oh, well...Hopefully that will go away in time.

With my 2nd it was big macs lol (nothing but healthy cravings for me lmao)

In between I had a miscarriage, and before i miscarried i craved cheap apple juice (smart price stuff...expensive stuff was no good!)

Rubber with my first.

I had to chew rubber bands or cut bits of rubber into strips and chew it, and the smell of a new tyre made my mouth water lol.( Had a boy)

With my second I had a few different..salt and vinegar crisps, then Cornish pasties and then beef and mustard crisps dipped in ice cream bleugghh (had a girl)

Now on my 3rd and I need minty chewing gum, pepsi (not coke) and cheese and celery sandwiches..for now!!

my cravings were a little strange, with my first it was pickled onion monster munch dipped in strawberry angel delight or MacDonald's fries dipped in Strawberry milkshake and semi skimmed milk to drink. I can't stand milk normally but was drinking up to 26 pints a week. With my second it was a bit more normal, Bounty Bars, paprika pringles and Dr pepper or semi skimmed. In fact if i want to wind my other half up i ask him to pick up 4 pints of semi skimmed on his way home, works every time!

with my eldest it was cold long sausage rolls, and chips and curry, i just craved curry on anything (which matched in well with my sausage roll and curry lol) i loved pineapple to, which i heard 'can help' encourage labour to start off lol.

with my youngest, i looked at flowers and craved eating them, but i never did it, i haven't a clue why i wanted to do it, but thankfully i never. But it was curry again lol

But my sex drive was through the roof for when i was pregnant, lol which i think helped me not gain as much weight (with me eating so many curries lol) but i still went over due, but i think sex helped start me off to.

i am envious i would love to be pregnant again lol. And have all the weird and bugging symptoms of it to, lol but i loved it.

all the best with your pregnancy

The only thing I loved was refreshers packets and packets of them. Would of been better eating lemons, not so much waist expansion.

In all 3 of my pregnancies, I loved ice as well! I ate it no matter the weather. I also loved KFC, ice cream, McDonalds and tomatoes!
