Question:
Two Tests but i still dont think I am..?
2008-01-29 15:19:17 UTC
I'm sexually active w/ my boyfriend of a year [we plan on getting married next year]. I had my last period started Nov.4th and ended on Nov.10th. I had sex on my period on while I wasn't on. I can't remember dates and I havn't had my period sense then. Last month sometime I took 2 pregnancy test and they both came out postive. I don't "feel" pregnant.
I looked at something online that told me type in the first day of my last period and it would tell me when my due date was and how many weeks I am if i WERE to be pregnant. It said like 12 weeks. I don't even look pregnant. My stomach has got a tad bit bigger but i think its just because of the way im eating and i havnt been to the gym lately[i used to go everyday].

Do you think I am pregnant?

[[I am scared to death to tell my mother anything about this and I cannot go to the doctor w/o her becuase I am 17]]

I want serious answeres only. I don't want anyone critisizing me because I'm only a teen and not married.

Sorry to tell you but YOU ARE PREGNANT. Tell your mom so you can start going to the doctor.

Honey, I think you're probably pregnant.

Most home pregnancy tests are 99% effective when taken on or after the day your period is due. Two positives is a pretty strong sign.

Early pregnancy symptoms vary woman to woman - that includes weight gain. Up until my fourth month, I was wearing my regular clothing. Especially with your first, you don't get a big ol' baby bump right away. And I didn't "look" pregnant until around my sixth month - some of it depends on how your body type and how you carry weight.

Maybe you can't go to your regular doctor solo, but you can - and should - get yourself to Planned Parenthood or a women's health clinic ASAP. You need to get good information - first, a blood test; second, some idea about what your options are.

I know you're scared, but just imagine what this will be like if you don't deal with it and you ARE pregnant. After all ... the logical outcome of pregnancy is a baby - they're a bit harder to hide than an expanding waistline.

Good luck, and hang in there.

Two positive tests means you are most likely pregnant.

Some women don't experience symptoms like other women, and at 12 weeks it's possible not to be showing yet.

At some point you are going to have to tell your mom--she's gonna know when you are 9 months and really have a belly.

Do the right thing for your baby and get to a doctor. You need prenatal care.

Good luck.

You are pregnant. You can go to the doctor without your mother, but it would be best for you to tell her. I know you're probably scared to death, but the best thing for you to do is to accept the fact that your pregnant, tell your mother, and get to a doctor. If you're to affraid to tell her, you could always find a Planned Parenthood clinic or something similar. There are plenty of resources out there you just need to find them. If your only 12 weeks pregnant you won't be showing much, but in a month it will be completely obivious. Don't let your mother find out that way. Please tell her or another adult you trust. Good luck!!

if both tests said yes than you prly are - you CAN go to the dr w/o her - if you are PG the government says you are an emancipated adult and can make medical decisions and teh dr cannot tell your mother. the best thing i can tell you to do is go to a crisis pregnancy center (not necessarily planned parenthood) and they can do a test and give you information on ALL your options as well as help you make the best decision for you - some centers can also provide ultrasound to help you out as well and check on the baby. if you can't find one in your area go to a church (protestant is good) and ask the pastor to recommend a place (even if you aren't religious they are a wealth of informatin). feel free to message me if you need any other help or have q's.... ps: most people don't start showing until about 16-20 wks or more. pps go get prenatal vitamins - you can get them at cvs walmart target any grocery store and start taking them immediately - plus those you can hide - eventually though you will have to tell your mom....good luck! If you've gotten two positive pregnancy tests and haven't gotten your period since November you are probably in denial. False positives are very rare. You don't look pregnant if you are only 12 weeks along. I understand it is difficult to face, but you do need to talk to your mother and get to a doctor. Good luck, I hope your bf is supportive.

You probably are pregnant. I got pregnant at 15 and i was your average high school student (not fat) i didn't truly look pregnant until i was 6 months pregnant. So yea it is possible

You can go to plan parent hood if you want to be sure or there are always clinics to go to. Usually you can go to your doctors office though just call and make an appointment.

I didn't need my mom.

You get a false negative A LOT more often then a false positive.
2008-01-29 15:23:43 UTC
You don't usually get false positives. If the tests came out positive, you are pregnant. Not every woman gets the pregnancy symptoms. I didn't start showing or getting the pregnancy belly until about 15 weeks. You can look up the nearest Planned Parenthood, or Pregnancy care center around your area. They do pregnancy tests for teens. Also, you need to start taking prenatal vitamins right away, and getting prenatal care. It is very important in the first trimester to get enough folic acid.

You are pregnant! Congratulations. I actually took 3 home tests, then got it confirmed by two different doctors - so that was 5 tests and still didn't believe it. I don't think it was real to me until I was about 6-7 months along despite getting early pre-natal care and having a ton of ultrasounds. The best thing you can do is to get to a doctor soon. Apply for medi-caid if you haven't already so you can get regular medical care for baby.

Well a positive test is never wrong, especially 2. You are indeed pregnant and need to see the doctor to make sure everything is fine with the baby. You will eventually need to tell your mom and yes, she will probably be upset at first, but I'm sure she will stay by your side throughout the pregnancy.
2008-01-29 15:35:20 UTC
Trust me tell your mom. Prenatal care is so very important in the

early stages. I also was a teen mom at 17 and I did not tell my mom until I was 5 months along. She was upset because I did not tell her not because I was pregnant. My son is now 16, but I have RH negative blood so I almost Missed my window to get my RH shot. Tell your mom the worst that will happen is she will be a little upset but she will get over it.

Yes, you can go to the doc w.out your mom. Actually, confendintiallity ios a huge thing nowadays. Go to your health dept to get it verified, and they will refer you to a good OB. You should really consider telling your mom about it though, as you are going to need her support. You and I are due around the same time! hehe, but anyway, the prenatals are very important for your pregnancy. If the tests say +, then you def are preg. It is VERY unusual to get a false +. As for showing, you wont really be showing yet, excpesially with this being your 1st baby. But within now and the next 2 weeks, you should be able to feel a "ball" right above your pubic bone, which would be your expanding uterus. Congrats.

Uh yeah you're pregnant. 2 positive tests means you're pregnant...ONE positive test means you're pregnant! Your stomach is probably getting bigger from the combination of being pregnant & not working out. You're eating the way you are because you're pregnant. Don't you see all the signs? The first one would be the positive tests! You need to tell your mom & tell her that you need to get to a doctor.

sweetie, you are pregnant!! go to the dr and get your prenatal care going asap. its whats best for you and that baby. i know all about not "feeling" pregnant, it took me about 5 tests and never getting my period all 4 times to believe it. anyway, you will feel it soon enough, but you really need to go get on vitamins and all that good stuff. about your mom, tell her, she will probably be your strongest support system and you really need that! she may be a little disappointed at first but she will get over it and love you regardless. i wish you the best. i hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy. God bless
2008-01-29 15:25:15 UTC
yeh it sounds like you're pregnant. tests aren't usually wrong when they come out negative, especially two tests, thats extremely unlikely. im sure you can go to the doctor by yourself once you turn 16 so book an appointment anyways but do you have an older sister, friend or someone who is over 18 that can maybe go with you? i know its hard, but i think you should tell your mother and hopefully she should be really supportive, i know i would be if my daughter fell pregnant. how is the father of the baby? have you told him yet? is he supportive? maybe he can go to the doctors with you too. all the best.

your stomach just doesnt start to grown so soon... and if you took two test that says postive, then YOU ARE PREGNANT.. no matter how much you dont feel that way.. and if you dont want to tell your mom you can go to a clinic that will most likely be free for you and theyll confirm your pregnancy and give you a checkup and you can make it confidential so your mom wont know.. but eventually youll need to tell her if you choose to go on further with your pregnancy

Holy crap! What the hell is wrong with you? You havent had a period, and you've had two positive tests!

holy freaking hell woman! Grow up! You're pregnant and you need to make sure you're taking care of your body and the baby's.

What is WRONG with you to think you're not pregnant? you're 17, not 7. You're a few months away from being an adult. Its high time you start acting like one. It has nothing to do with being a teenager and unmarried, it has to do with having the common sense and care of a functional human being to do what you need to when its called for.

You are pregnant and you need to provide for your child. That involves getting medical attention, taking care of your self, and making sure that baby's daddy is in on the game. Not to mention getting ready for when baby is actually HERE.

Good grief, were you raised by wolves?

2 postive pregnancy test mean you are pregnant. You need to speak to your mother and get the MD asap and start taking care of yourself.

It can be scary talking to your mom but you have to do it, she loves you and only wants the best for you so she will be disappointed but will ultimatley take care of you.

Good Luck

first of all you can go to the doctor without her if you live in the uk , second of all you are pregnant and you need medical care, not just fro you for your baby they will need to do an ultrasound to make sure the baby is okay, time to face your consequences you have to tell her and you have to see a doctor very soon.

your pregnant..

I didnt start showing until I was 19 weeks along.

and you wouldnt get 2 positive tests if you wernt.

You need to start seeing a doctor and get prenatal vitamins so your baby gets all the vitamins and minerals she/he needs to be healthy.

I didnt feel pregnant either, I didnt have any signs for my first trimester, but Im definetly pregnant.

go to your doctor, and tell your mom.

Of course you are pregnant. No period for two months and two positive tests would 100% mean that...

You are definately pregnant
