I am so not excited about the labour part. I am due tomorrow, and if nothing happens will be induced Monday. I am extremely ecstatic to meet my little angel though. We do not know the sex, and we already have two little ones, so I cannot wait to bring the new addition home to the family.
Congrats and best of luck to you.

I was so excited with my first baby! I knew it was going to hurt like hell (still got a rude shock as to how much it actually does hurt, lol!) but I was so thrilled and couldn't wait for the big day.
With my second I was a little more hesitant because I knew how much it was going to hurt but the closer it got the more excited I got again! Oh and it was so much better 2nd time round!
This time I'm a bit more complacent about it. I'm looking forward to meeting my lil guy and I know labour is part and parcel of it so I haven't really thought about it much. I know once I get to 38+ weeks I'll be wishing for it to start though and then I'll be so excited!!
Good luck and keep up the positive attitude. Giving birth is a huge learning experience and no-one should be scared about it!

You're not being weird!!! That is the part I'm looking forward to. After all these months you finally get to do what it has all been leading up to. Giving birth to your baby.
This is my 2nd baby and I loved the labor and birth of my daughter. Yes it hurt A LOT. But not to the degree that I never wanted to go through it again, obviously.
I had my wisdom tooth out in the dentist chair. It took 3 hours. It was a joined root and I had 3 nerves instead if 2. This was the most horrible experience of my life and hurt 100000000 times more than giving birth vaginally with out any pain relief. I said I would Rather give birth every day for the rest of my life than get 1 more wisdom tooth pulled out.lol.
Good luck and congratulations.

U are probaly excited as u know u will be having ur child soon as in the later weeks i was excited but as it came closer and closer i remembered what it was like in labour with my other children, i was actually more excited at the end of my labour when it was finally over and i had my new baby to hold in my arms

Yes. I'm completely excited. I am aware that it is not going to be easy and will hurt (and I hope to go natural, too!) but all I can think about is having my little baby in my arms finally! I think it's a great attitude to have. There's no need to be afraid of childbirth. It is temporary pain. Better to be excited and happy than stressing out!

I'll be really excited about my next labour!
I'm not pregnant and dont intend to be for another couple of years but when I was preg with my son I was quite scared about labour and didnt go to and 'puffing and panting' classes as I wanted my body to do the business itself.
When I went into labour I had no run up to it at all,I was fine and then bang, one contraction after the other,no break in between either. I was in labour, start to delivery, for 8 and a half hours. Had no pain relief, not even gas and air,I wouldnt even say it was painful,ok it hurt but its a different kind of pain and you just deal with it,I loved evey minute of it,even when he had poohed and got stuck and I had to be cut for him to be delivered by ventouse and then he cut me inside on his way out too,the best experiance of my life!! The only time I got scared was when they said he had poohed inside as I thought they were going to give me a section!
I cant wait for number 2!!!
Good luck,enjoy it!

My daughter is due in 12 days and can't wait to get it over and done with now. It's all very exciting!! Good luck - those last few weeks seem to drag, I'm sure, but the wait is worth it.

Well, no, It isn't weird... I remember with my first, labour was the last thing on my mind... I couldn't wait to hold her, I could wait to kiss her and just BE her mommy. I didn't care how bad it would hurt... it's not like it was going to keep it from hapening. I think focusing on HER actuallly made my delivery much more pleasant... and I am sure it will yours too.
I am having my 3rd in June, and I still feel this way :)
I think that to me... being a good mommy seemes like a bigger task than just simply having her. I was always more concerened with raising my children right and having a close bond with them. And I was READY to have them... 40 weeks seems like a lifetime.

That's a bit spooky as it was 1st may 1997 when labour got into power!
Its natural to feel excited about your baby being born, you are not being weird at all!
