I saw this article on yahoo answers......................

Short Index Fingers
WHAT THEY MEAN: Women with pointer fingers smaller than their ring fingers may have a heightened risk for osteoarthritis and polycystic ovarian syndrome, a hormonal disorder that can disrupt fertility. The upside? A lower risk for heart disease. “More exposure to testosterone in utero, which relates to skeletal health, fertility and cardiovascular development, may also create longer ring fingers,” says John Manning, Ph.D., author of The Finger Ratio. “But don’t regard your ratio as a definite indicator of risks—or immunity to them.” Controlling your weight protects your joints, fertility and heart, regardless of finger length. Aim for a body-mass index between 18.5 and 25 (calculate yours at Self.com.)

does this mean i cant get pregnant or there is a high chance that i cant, i mean my pointer finger is shorter than my ring finger, not by much but you can tell. Im 14 so please help me, ive always dreamed of having a child of my own someday and now im scared out of my mind!! God bless you if you help me!!

I don't really know what evidence there is to back that up, it might be just an old wives tale, i wouldn't believe everything you read on the internet.

BUT.. i have just been diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome, after having severe abdominal pains and being referred for an ultrasound and transvaginal scan by my doctor because he was concerned. So if you have a history of it in your family or are experiencing any of the symptoms associated with it i would reccomend you go see your doctor as soon as you can.

Don't stress, my pointer fingers are shorter than my ring fingers and I am 30 weeks pregnant with my second (2 pregnancies in 2 years) I am not sure how accurate that method is, although it says heightened risk, not definite.

I wouldn't stress about it much. Just keep yourself healthy in general. If you're really concerned then ask your doctor about it next time you go for a check up.
