How come they tell you during late pregnancy "don't check your own cervix as you can introduce germs and cause infections" but it's completely ok to have unprotected sex during the end of pregnancy. Aren't you more likely to introduce germs and infections from your partners penis rather than you are your own fingers (which should be clean and germ free when checking your cervix)? I don't know - it just doesn't seem to make sense to me. Maybe someone can shed some light on this for me.
