I'm not sure whether you mean state-funded child support, or child support that comes from the father.
In either case, I'm pretty sure (in the ACT anyway) you need to have the birth certificate, or at least be in the process of getting the birth certificate. To get an allowance from Centrelink, you basically front up with the birth certificate and all your own ID (for this kind of thing, you could also obtain the forms and partially-complete them in advance, as was mentioned).
To obtain child support from the father you will take your birth certificate and whatnot to a family agency (or depending on where you live, a private lawyer). They will arrange contact with the father, or litigation and a DNA test if necessary. I think this process varies a bit from case to case.

Why do you think of there may be something incorrect with it? however, there are various mothers and fathers who could be prepared to undertake even an 'imperfect' infant. flow to the adoption centers, fill out the place of work work. you have an fairly good risk of looking a very good relatives desperate for a new child who will help pay your expenditures throughout the time of being pregnant. It definitely does not sound as in case you may cope with yet another new child mentally or emotionally. i do no longer understand the place you reside so i'm no longer able to provide you any perfect supplies yet you may walk into any church and ask them, they are going to direct you at present to someplace that could help. i'm professional decision, yet abortion isn't continually the only option to an unplanned being pregnant.

Your state should have its own agency for that. You'll probably have to go to the internet and google your state and child support collection.
You usually can't start filing for child support until after the baby is born.

My son was 12 days old when I filed. He was 2 1/2 years old the first time I received a payment but that's a different story. Go to your local Domestic Relations office.

In Kansas, it can be stated during the pregnancy, if you can prove the child was conceived here, but it would leave you open to an In Utero custody challenge. Until the child is actually born, the state where the child was conceived has jurisdiction.
