What did you receive in your prenatal goodie bag? Did you like what was in your bag or were you expecting something else? What do you wish was in your goodie bag? Did you even receive a goodie bag?

I have NEVER known anybody who received a prenatal "goodie bag" from her OB/GYN on her first prenatal visit. (Or at any other later visit, for that matter). Doctors don't hand out "free" stuff!

After a woman gives birth, she MIGHT (but not usually) receive a "goodie bag" from the hospital's Aux. Services Dept. to take home with her when she checks out. The bag might contain such things as a diaper shirt, a can of Similac, a couple of obstetrical pads, and a copy of Dr. Spock's "Baby & Child Care".

"Goodie bags?" No, never.

Wouldn't have expected one either. When I was growing up, we didn't even get goodie bags at little kids' parties.
