Question:
Constant lower back pain at 37w3d?
?

Background information:
- As of last Friday I am dilated about 2-3cm (My Doc said a finger tip and he does not have small hands).
- After the exam I had a lot of bleeding. The Doctor on call said not to worry even though I had already filled up a light day pad of blood.
- There has not been any decrease in fetal movement.
- Today I was organizing our closet and bathroom (We just moved a week and half ago, right before I turned 36 weeks. Army's idea, not ours) and though I didn't really lift or strain anything. Just moving small containers of shampoo into baskets and folding sweaters.

To get to the question: I am having constant back pain, both upper and lower. I am also having intermediate stabbing vagina pains. Neither of these discomforts are new to me during this pregnancy, though the fact they are more pressing and I am so far along is causing me pause.

Should I call my Doctor? Is this really early labor? Should I wait until my water breaks? How much fluid is there because I have a great increase in discharge today.

The back pains and the vaginal pains are probably just from being so very very pregnant. The real answer is to have the baby, then things can get better.

I am sure you know back pains are from the hormonal changes that occur when you are pregnant, but there are some things that you can do. Avoid lifting and bending as much as you can. If you already have small children avoid picking them up as much as you can. Get someone else to rearrange the closet and fold the sweaters.

if she is small framed, then it would be typical when you consider that her frame is adjusting itself for being pregnant. With all 4 pregnancies, the one time I had horrible ache early on was once whilst I had a urinary tract contamination which might be traditional in pregnancies. Her health care professional must scan her for that. Its now not that complex. If she is blank of uriniary contamination, then I could be worried and could cross to ANOTHER health care professional . Some medical professionals are lazy and dont care, even as OTHERs care and can hlep her work out wherein the ache is coming from
