last week at 8w1d i had vaginal ultrasound there was no heartbeat seen. i freaked out the next day i went to an ultrasound specialist and he used the doppler and confirmed that he heard the heartbeat i had hcg checked 50,000

today i went to my regular dr, fetus measured 9w1d right on schedule. still no heartbeat seen, he did not use the doppler. my hcg level dropped to 37,000,
when i showed him the other drs report he said that its not true, and i must be my heartbeat!

i cried in his office, he said i had a 50 50 chance of continuing this pregnancy.

plus i have no bleeding at all

I'm sorry but the first doctor did not hear the baby's heartbeat. It was probably yours. They couldn't even hear my baby's heartbeat at 12 weeks and that's very common.

Because your HCG level dropped and doctors cant find the heartbeat you may be having a miscarriage. If the growth is right on track I wouldn't lose hope though. Good luck, I hope it works out.

**I forgot to add, go get a second opinion. I wouldn't trust the first doctor.

if your HCG levels drop, it means your going to miscarry.

if your HCG levels rise it means your pregnancy is developing. i know i have suffered 2 miscarriages and both time HCG levels drop.

even though you have no bleeding, i would prepare myself for the worst, because it takes time to work its way down the womb.

I would defiantly go see another doctor as well though.

But the hcg levels in your blood confirm it.

Its upsetting, but you can always try again. I'm pregnant again after 2 Miscarriages! so think positive! good luck xxx

I would get a second opinion. Call another OB in the morning and explain the situation. Tell them you are getting conflicting information and need to get it verified. I don't know why doctors tell your your hcg levels its just another thing to worry about. If you aren't bleeding and the baby measured on time at your last visit, relax.

Don't stress, even though this is a hard time. Stress may end up losing your child. Try to calm down. Contact a specialist in your area and refer to him.

Go to another doctor. That is my best advise and pray if you believe in God pray for God to give your kid life after all life can only be permitted by him ( my beliefs) he gives it, he takes it. I REALLY wish you good luck and for ur baby to be good.

Go to another doctor and have them perform the ultrasoud do drink alot of water before you visit them this will allowe them to see him better since your bladder will be full.

good luck woman
