as some of u might have seen some of my previous questions - i have excessive hair growth on my face (even before preg) and which cannot be waxed or tweezed, nothing works, other than laser.
I wanted to know if there is anyone who did go for facial laser and have already delivered, were there any complications bcz of laser?? (hope not)
Pls answer.

Note - My OB is preg too and she has the same prob, she lasers her face. So I am guessing its shud be okay??

I really have no experience with this, sorry!!

You should really be asking your OB for advice on this. There aren't a whole lot of doctor's on Yahoo! answering questions.

Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy!

I personally wouldn't risk it, and I am holding off to complete my last two laser hair treatments until I give birth. It doesn't hurt to wait. The hair isn't going anywhere! Plus, I've read that the hormones of pregnancy often tends to spur dark hair to grow where it shouldn't. So I figure I will get more out of the treatment if I wait and can remove those hairs as well. I would also be concerned about the safety of the prescription numbing creams they use prior to the procedure. Those creams do get absorbed into your skin, your bloodstream, and into the unborn fetus. I would not want to subject my baby to that.

I'm a nurse who has both received laser treatments and administered them. There is no risk to a fetus from laser treatments. No worries.

Ask your OB, but if she does it then it's probably safe.
