I am 7 weeks pregnant and see the Dr. for the first time next week. When did you get your first ultasound...?

When were you able to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time:)

I got to hear the heartbeat at 11 weeks and had the first trimester u/s at 12 weeks. Some Dr's. do it much earlier then mine. I don't get another u/s until I'm 20 weeks. Good Luck !!

Hi I got never seen my doctor as when rang up for my result of my pregnancy test at the doctors and it was postive I asked if I had to see the doctor or could I just seen the midwife, and so they made it with my midwife, I was about 5-6weeks when I went to see my midwife and she didnt listen to my babys heart beat or anything. I then had my scan at my booking appointment at the hospital at 12 weeks 1 day I didnt get to hear my babys heartbeat but I did see it on the scan and it was a fantastic !, I then went back to see my midwife at 16 weeks for my triple blood test and this is the only time she had listend so far and I heard my babys heartbeat, I nearly cried as it was really overwelming, and then every month I go she listens to him.



I think it all depends on the doctors, as I think sometimes they cannot hear the babys heartbeat as at 7 weeks it still so very small.

I'm due June 30 (30 weeks) & had my first dr apt at 9 weeks (in Nov). I got my first ultrasound at 10 weeks. Don't be alarmed if you can't hear the heartbeat yet. The dr told me it's really heard to hear them until 10 weeks. We tried at the 9 week appointment & couldn't hear anything. But now my baby is totally healthy (a girl).

i only had one ultrasound and i was 21 weeks along. i think it depends on your insurance. mine would only pay for one unless i had complications and there was a medical reason for more. around 20 weeks is when they can tell the sex of the baby so that's generally when they do an ultrasound. they also take measurements of the baby's legs, head, etc. to see if he/she is developing ok and also to see how big baby is. it also gives a more accurate due date. i don't remember exactly when we heard the heartbeat for the first time, but it was way before the ultrasound. that was so wonderful! it made the pregnancy more real. you should find out if your ultrasound will include any 4D. if not, that's definitely something i would do extra. it was included in my normal ultrasound, but i was going to go to an imaging center if it wasn't. good luck and a big congrats on the pregnancy!

I had my first ultrasound at 5 1/2 weeks. to make sure it was a baby there. Im having another ultrasound today (6 1/2 weeks) to hear the heart beat. Hopefully i hear one. but its still kind of early usually people start looking for one around 8-10 weeks. you dont have far to go. you may be able to hear the heart beat now. good luck and Congrats!

i heard the babys heartbeat the first time in this pregnancy when i was 10 weeks and i had my ultrasound at 19 weeks and found out its a boy!

I had my first ultra sound at 8 weeks bc I was spotting. But everything turned out fine. Since then we haven't been able to see the babies upper spine so I ahve had 6 ultra sounds. At different weeks. But he seems to be stuborn like his dad. At 12 weeks I heard his heartbeat for the first time.

I had my first us at 4 weeks because I have the privilege of morning sickness which started very early :) I saw and heard the baby heartbeat at 6 and a half weeks. good luck and congrats!

I heard the heartbeat the first time at 12 weeks, I was in the ER for cramping, they said was round ligament pains, (I had bronchitis and had been coughing hard and was scared i hurt the baby).....I hadnt been to the doc yet at that time.



I had my first U/S at 16 weeks.

They did my first ultrasound at 11 weeks and 5 days. We heard our sons heartbeat then. We heard it at the drs office on the doppler at 14 weeks though. make sure you take your hubby/fiance/boyfriend or someone special in your life because you will want to share it with someone! its amazing you will love it! good luck and enjoy your pregnancy!

I'm also 7 weeks and next week I go for my 1st appt. I will get an ultrasound done to check to make sure the baby is still there, and alive.

I got my first ultrasound at eight weeks (to date the pregnancy and check for "viability")! And I could see her little heart beating. It was so beautiful and amazing!!! I didn't hear her heart beat until 12 weeks, I think.
