I am pregnant with identical twin boys, and I am scheduled to have a c-section tomorrow at 6:00am. I am already admitted into the hospital, I been here for like a week because of complications, and the doctor said it's time to get these boys out. I am really nervous. This will be my very first c-section, and premature babies. My son, and daughter was born full-term, and vaginally. I am real scared about how i will feel afterwords. I'm also concerned about my children health, but the we already talked to the doctor about it. My nurse, and my midwife showed my husband, and I where the babies will go, and what will probably need to be done. She basically gave me a little tutorial. I guess my question is how did you get over the nervousness if you had a c-section? have you ever had identical twins? if so how did you tell them apart? We plan on putting mitch matching socks on the boys until we get use to having twins. Was you really sore after your c-section?

My cesarean wasn't planned at all, I was induced the contractions stopped and they had to get my baby boy out. Being nervous is understandable and you can't keep that from happening, your going to be sliced open and have your children removed so being nervous is going to be normal. But just think that when it's all over you will have two precious twin boys to take home. If you have a good hospital and a wonderful doctor then i would be less nervous, I had a good doctor and a horrible hospital that affected my recovery alot. Just hang in there, you will do just fine. :)

Everyone is different...I had my first baby at age 41 in September and had to have an emergency c-section. I am overweight and was sure it was going to awful....I had a spinal block, didnt feel a thing, and was up walking to the bathroom at 5pm. (delivered my son at 10:45am). I was released 3 days later (was doing so good the dr offered to let me go home on day 2). I was climbing stairs and caring for my baby when I got home. I didn't even take the pain medications..just the ibprofen for the swelling. I was nervous until I walked into the operating room and sat on the table...a wave of calm came over me and I knew it was what was best for my son.

As for telling your boys apart...you will be able to tell and/or work out a system and the hospital staff will help you.

Best of luck and Congrats

My c-section wasn't planned but i went into the hospital on a friday knowing i would need one and had one on saturday, i wasn't nervous until i got into the room, i remember thinking i never want to go through this again. but the nurses and doctors were amazing and once the babies come out you will be so excited and it will go by fast. recovery is rough although it wasnt as bad as i though it be. your very sore and getting out of bed is difficult so use help if you have it. by the time i left the hospital 5 days after i was still sore but could walk ok, i over did it by going shopping for food a day later so really give your body time to rest. i def needed the full 8 weeks off from work to stop feeling the c-section

You will get over the nervousness as soon as there threw and the boys are out. You will need alot of rest after words and make sure that you keep the incision clean and pay attention to the way its healing
