Breakthrough bleeding can sometimes occur in otherwise healthy pregnancies, but it shouldn't be heavy. Heavy bleeding during pregnancy is not a good sign, with or without cramps. You should go see an OB/GYN as soon as possible.

If there was no cramping, I'd say it was normal and there is nothing to worry about. But you don't have alot of details here....was it bright red or was it brownish, were there any clots? How heavy is 'really heavy?' How many pads in an hour? I'm not gonna tell you go to a doctor, because if you do, they'll just send you home right now. Six weeks is too early to tell much at an ER. So, just lay down and relax for now, it can be normal to bleed around the time of your period, which is at six weeks. If you start to get cramps, feel light headed and dizzy, or pass clots, then go tot he ER.
(History of miscarriages for me)

Call your doctor and get in asap. You can bleed while pregnant early on but it can also be a miscariage. The only way to know for sure is the doctor this early. Not to be gross or anything is the blood bright red or dark and brown (old looking) and are there clotts in it? Bright blood and clotts = not such good news...Good luck hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I had some very light spotting around that stage of my pregnancy. But it was just very light and pinkish. If you are bleeding heavily then it could be a miscarriage even without the cramps. But.....it could be just fine, what you need to do is get to a doctor or the ER so someone can check you.
Good Luck sweetie:)

Could be due to a low lying placenta...my sister had that problem.....and my other sister bled on and off with both pregnancies...I would go to the dr and have a check up so you know for sure...if it is a miscarriage there is nothing they can do for you so no need to go to ER or anything they will just send you home...Call the dr and make an apt for today or tom...Good luck!!

in case you're actually not having cramps then it must be ok, yet do no longer take damaging aspects. call your well-known practitioner or bypass to the ER-they are able to do an ultrasound on the ER. you may bleed for quite some motives for the period of being pregnant, yet once you're scared then do no longer take opportunities. additionally, take it consumer-friendly for some days, placed your self on mattress relax. My mom bled lots for the period of her being pregnant with my brother (very early on such as you) and that's what the well-known practitioner informed her. Take it consumer-friendly and phone your well-known practitioner!

It is impossible to tell. It sounds as if you are having a miscarriage.
Then again there are many women who do have what appears to be normal "periods" during early pregnancy.
You need to be seen by a doctor.
Good luck.

It sure does sound like it, you should be calling your doctor immediately, you need to be seen ASAP!
You may not always have the cramping with a miscarraige especially that early in a pregnancy.

I bled with all three of my babies at 7 weeks but it was not heavy. I would call your doctor - bleeding is always a reason to call. They will advise you what to look for. Try to rest.

My wife and I have had 4 children, never has she bled, light or heavy. I would suggest seeing your doctor pronto, only they can tell you what is happening.
Good luck.

I don't want to upset you or anything, but go to your doctor right away, that is not a good sign spotting is sometimes normal but still you need to go to the doctors but heavy, go to the doctors right away. GOOD LUCK
