If you do not know what partial birth abortion is please key word search and find out more info.
I was told Obama voted not to end this process, so i researched for my self and now I'd like to know why anyone would support this act, and how in the world it began to begin with.

I think this is wrong. Is not one of the Ten Commandments, "Do not murder."? And that is what abortion truly is, murder. Even if the baby isn't born, it is still a living human. So if it is OK to kill LIVING humans that aren't born yet wouldn't it be alright to kill anyone? I mean besides the fact that this is biblically wrong, isn't that just plain logic? And those of you who would rather save the trees than save a human life...sick. Also I don't see how you Obama supporters can't see that his "solutions" to our troubled time will destroy America as we know it. Especially his health care plan. Go live in Canada for a little bit...you will see how corrupt it really is when you have a grandparent that is dying and they can't get into the hospital because some kid with a broken arm has a higher level healthcare than them.

An intact dilation and extraction (the correct term) is difficult to obtain unless the fetus has a severe abnormality or the mother's life is in jeopardy. Very few states allow late term abortions and not many doctors are qualified to preform this procedure.

Much of the information you will find on the internet about the D&X procedure is misleading. The fetus is dead before the skull is punctured, for example.

This is the only late term abortion procedure that will keep the fetus in tact for the parents to hold or bury.

you know thats funny because my husband was telling me that yesterday about Obama supporting it and I seriously thought about posting something like this to see what others thought. I think it is absolutely horrible and don't see how anyone could do this to their own child. I don't agree with abortion at all, but if it was going to be done anyways, I would rather it be to a fetus that isn't fully devolped rather than one that is ready to be born and start life. but i don't agree with abortion at all, and since they are already going along with the birthing process anyways, why not adoption???

Ya, i don't know how anyone can support this form of abortion. I'm prolife an I dont' believe in any-stage abortion, but Partial Birth is inhumane.

I don't know either how Obama can vote not to end this process. It's horrible and don't know how it began, but i really would like to shoot the bastard who started it.

That's a great question. And yes, Obama was one of the only people who voted no. I personally don't know how you could sleep at night knowing what those babies who live through that process go through.

partial birth abortions are horrible. anyone saying other wise is just stupid.the baby was alredy born, that is just so wrong on so many levels. if someone is going to actually have the baby at least go the adoption route

Abortion is the most selfish and discusting thing I have ever heard of. Too many young people use it as a form of birth control! the Partial birth abortion should never be an issue if the damn liberals would get their heads out of their asses and stop killing the most innocent things in this world, our children.

Obama does not support it, he wants to make revisions so it is only allowed if the mothers health is in jeopardy. Ashley- great answer and so true

i dont no.....it is absolutly disgusting......GOD BLESS~~~~

EDIT: ASHLEY...... partial birth abortion has been practiced many times solely for the purpose of aborting NOT for the mothers safety, i have researced and looked at both sides of this awful practice.....some babies are born and it takes hours for them to pass on, how sad is that??

obama said in the debate, the final one i believe, that he supports this only if it the mother's life is at risk of being lost. other than that, he doesn't support it and i agree with this. personally, i think abortion should only be permitted in situations where the mother's life is in grave danger and in cases where young girls (teenagers) are raped and get pregnant (but how would we know they were raped, we wouldnt, i just dont think its fair if a 15 year old is raped and gets pregnant and has to have that baby, she should be able to abort if she so wishes)

if it came down to situation where the mother was going to die if she didnt have an abortion, what would you do? i think the mother should live and an abortion take place.

Honestly its probably for the popularity...don't get me wrong, its just he thinks he will get more votes that way. I think abortion at any time is wrong, I don't see how anyone could do it especially after they have felt the baby moving!!!

BTW...for everyone that is saying if its the babies life or the mothers...I would rather die than kill my child...I have had a chance to live my life....how selfish a mother would have to be to kill her baby just so she could live.

I don't know. The very thought of it sickens me. Abortion sickens me but especially after the baby is fully formed.

do you even know what partial birth abortion is for? it isn't for women who go through eight months of pregnancy and then decide they'd like to have an abortion. a partial birth abortion is ONLY done in cases where the mother's life is at risk or if the baby is going to be born with some kind of huge disability or deformity.

inform yourself before you continue to spread your ignorance, please.

Partial birth abortion is basically killing the baby after it is already born...I..I just don't see that being right in any way.

Because they're ignorant, and they don't want to research it. They might find that they are against it. . .

I don't know. I think it is wrong for people to make other womens' decisions. Like, if that is what you believe, feel free to go with that but please do not make others believe what you do.
