Pregnancy months are different from calendar months. There are 4 weeks in every pregnancy month so 10 pregnancy months. There are 4 and a half weeks in a calendar month, so 9 months if you are just using a calendar. At the end of your 1st month you are then 1 month pregnant, and so on. It's like how at the end of a child's first year of life they are then 1.

1st month-1-4 weeks

2nd month-4-8 weeks

3rd month-9-12 weeks

4th month-13-16 weeks

5th month-17-20 weeks

6th month-21-24 weeks

7th month-25-28 weeks

8th month-29-32 weeks

9th month-32-36 weeks

10th month-37-40 weeks.

I am currently 7 weeks pregnant. I am in my 2nd month of pregnany, but would say I am 1 in a half months pregnant.

Pregnancy weeks start with the first day of your last menstrual cycle. Months are measured by weeks and not by regular calendar months. For example August has 31 days but 4 weeks at 7 days each is only 28 days, thus making August longer then a pregnancy month. So at 4 weeks in a pregnancy month time 40 weeks you are pregnant for 10 months but it only comes out to 9 calendar months. Sometimes its a little confusing, so I listed it out for you below................

Days 1 - 28 = Month 1

Day 1 - 7 = week 1

Day 8 - 14 = week 2

Day 15 - 21= week 3

Day 22 - 28= week 4 or 1 month

Days 29 - 56 = Month 2

Day 29 - 35= week 5 or 1 months 1week

Day 36 - 42= week 6 or 1 months 2 weeks

Day 43 - 49= week 7 or 1 months 3 weeks

Day 50 - 56= week 8 or 2 months

Days 57 - 84 = Month 3

Day 57 - 63= week 9 or 2 months 1 weels

Day 64 - 70=week 10 or 2 months 2 weeks

Day 71 - 77=week 11 or 2 months 3weeks

Day 78 - 84=week 12 or 3 months

Days 85 - 112 = Month 4

Day 85 - 91 =week13 or 3 months 1 week

Day 92 - 98 =week14 or 3 months 2 weeks

Day 99 - 105 =week15 or 3 months 3 weeks

Day 106 - 112=week 16 or 4 months

Days 113 - 140 = Month 5

Day 113 - 119=week17 or 4 months 1 week

Day 120 - 126=week18 or 4 months 2 weeks

Day 127 - 133=week19 or 4 months 3 weeks

Day 134 - 140=week20 or 5 months

Days 141 - 168 = Month 6

Day 141 - 147=week21 or 5 months 1 week

Day 148 - 154=week22 or 5 months 2 weeks

Day 155 - 161=week23 or 5 months 3 weeks

Day 162 - 168=week24 or 6 months

Days 169 - 196 = Month 7

Day 169 - 175=week25 or 6 months 1 week

Day 176 - 182=week26 or 6 months 2 weeks

Day 183 - 189=week27 or 6 months 3 weeks

Day 190 - 196=week28 or 7 months

Days 197 - 224 = Month 8

Day 232 - 238=week34 or 8 months 2 weeks

Day 239 - 245=week35 or 8 months 3 weeks

The reason everyone has different answers is because pregnancy months do not exactly match normal months. If you count 40 weeks by 9 pregnancy months (which are 4 weeks) you only get 36 weeks you lost a whole month there. You are really pregnant for nearly 10 months. Sorry I can not give you the exact equation to transfer it over because I do not believe there is one.

For understanding pregnancy week by week, you usually go through 40 weeks of pregnancy. These 40 weeks are divided into three pregnancy trimesters - from Week 1 to 12, from Week 13 to 27, and Week 28 to 40.

First Trimester

Week 1- Week 12

Second Trimester

Week 13- Week 27

Third Trimester

Week 28- Week 40

4 weeks = 1 month pregnant

8 weeks = 2 months pregnant

12 weeks = 3 months pregnant

16 weeks = 4 months pregnant

20 weeks = 5 months pregnant

24 weeks = 6 months pregnant

28 weeks = 7 months pregnant

32 weeks = 8 months pregnant

36 weeks = 9 months pregnant

The typical pregnancy is 40 weeks, or 9 months. Everyone gets hung up about this because they all seem to think that there are exactly 4 weeks in a month - but there are 4.35 weeks in a month, on average. So the best thing to do is count your pregnancy by weeks when you're talking to the doctor, since that's how they measure it. To figure out your months, what I always did was took my due date and counted back - like I was due December 5th, so in August I considered myself 5 months along - regardless of day or week.

The first trimester is weeks 1-14 so that would be month 1-3. Second trimester is weeks 15-28 making that months 4-6. Third trimester is weeks 29-40 months 7-9.

i get hella confused on this too. I asked a similar question yesterday...31 weeks makes me how many months...Most of the answers I got was 7 months n 3 weeks. But then i just looked at some answers for this question...So that makes me 8 months already. I honestly don't have an accurate answer for u. So sorry because i am confused on this myself.

4 weeks is month 1 of preg...

8 weeks is month 2

12 weeks is month 3

16 weeks is month 4

20 weeks is month 5

24 weeks is month 6

28 weeks is month 7

32 weeks is month 8

36 weeks is month 9

40 weeks is month 10

Each pregancy is technically 9 1/2 months because they start your weeks from the 1st day of your last period so technically when you are considered 8 weeks pregnant you've only REALLY been pregnant 6 weeks meaning you ovulated and got pregnant 6 weeks ago. Hope that makes sense.

There are 40 weeks in a pregnancy cycle. You still go by the calendar months (since months don't change just because you are pregnant) but you count 40 weeks. Check with your doctor if you are still questioning the length of pregnancy.

week 1-4 month 1

week 4-8 month 2

week 8-12 month 3

week 12-16 month 4

week 16-20 month 5

week 20-24 month 6

week 24-28 month 7

week 28-32 month 8

week 32-36 month 9

week 36-40 (if you get that far) month 10

This is why they have gone to using a week system instead of a month system. The reason most people think of pregancy as 9 months is because you don't find out usually until you are in month 2.

That's something I would like to know too..lol.. I'm 19 wks. today but that would be 5 months, right? well I'm really 4 months cause I'm due in Jan.

I was 16 wks. like the last wk. of July cause that's what my ultrasound tech said but my due date is still around the same time that my doctor gave me.. my doc. says Jan. 9th and the tech. says Jan.5th even though this being my third,he might even come a little earlier. So yeah I'm still 4 months.. but in wks. I'm 19 wks. weird!!

weeks and months are different. the doctor will tell you that the average pregnancy's is 42 weeks...if that were 4 weeks/month, you'd be pregnant for 10 months (which is what it feels like) but some months have 4 weeks, some 5 weeks...so if they estimated your conception date (which is how they get your due date...42 weeks from conception) use calendar months to estimate what month...ex: if your conception date is june 5th, then on august 5th your 2 months pregnant

ask your doctor for a baby book that tells you the steps of pregnancy there is a page in there that tells you the months the doctors look at find your do date then it will tell you when you got pregnant. the only way i could do it was by weeks i could not keep up with the months with neither one of my sons

4 weeks = 1 month

8 weeks = 2 months etc

remember the doctors count the weeks from the 1st day of your last period.

However, 4 weeks in every pregnancy month makes your pregnancy 10 months long...I tried to figure it out one day and to make it equal 9 months, there's a couple 5 week months in there....it's pretty confusing, so have fun. I like the 10 4-week month plan....
