Hello ladies,
I am having the hardest time finding safe skin care line to use during pregnancy. I have very oily skin, acne prone, and blackheads. My skin was really good by using salicylic acid cleansers and olay anti blemish tinted moisturizer. Now, i can't use salicylic acid and my skin is in a bad shape. What do you use? I need a tinted moisturizer to cover the imperfections. Please list all products you think it is safe by brand name to be easy to find. I know Belli makes a pregnancy line, but the moisturizer is not enough for me.
Thank you so much

Ask your doctor or midwife about using medicated gels or lotions. If your acne is severe, you may need to see a dermatologist. A number of over-the-counter and prescription products help clear up acne, but some of the ingredients haven't been well studied in pregnancy — so don't use any acne preparation without your caregiver's okay.

It's particularly important to avoid the oral prescription drug isotretinoin (Accutane), which can cause serious birth defects. Avoid using topical tretinoin-like Retin-A as well. Prescription antibiotic creams containing erythromycin or clindamycin are perfectly safe, but stay away from those with tetracycline.

Benzoyl Peroxide is generally safe to use.

I know my pharmacist has told me to stay away from everything except plain old Tylenol. I had a bad cold back at the beginning of pregnancy and could only take those, and lozenges. Wasn't very effective but that was all my doctor/pharmacist let me took. Pharmacist do specialize in this stuff. Maybe you should address this concern directly to your doctor? I know personally, I wouldn't take it --I'd be too afraid. Try drinking lots of water, orange juice, take hot baths, relax and sleep a lot...
