I went to the hospital this morning have contractions. They were pretty strong and frequent, they hooked me up to monitor me and checked me. My cervix wasnt dialated. They didnt let me walk because they wanted to monitor my baby but a few hours later they came to check me again and i was 75% effaced and 1cm dialated. They checked me a few hours later and because of no change released me. What can i do to basically dialate myself more so that i will be admited?
does walking really help? my contractions have slowed down and im only having like 5 in one hour, what can i do to increase my contractions?
Thanks

Ah... I feel for you. I was 4 cm dilated and 75 percent effaced for a week before I was finally able to be induced at 41 weeks.

Walking has been known to help, but not for me. It's worth a try though.

You could try and convince your doctor to strip your membranes.

You could try drinking raspberry leaf tea, eating pineapple, eating spicy stuff. You could try walking with one foot on a curb, getting footrubs, or doing really deep squats. Having sex is another option.

I tried all of these things and my baby girl was way too stubborn, I hope something works for you! Best of luck.

To be honest I was 4 cm dialated for the last 2 months of my pregnancy and I was having contractions. I walked about 2 miles a day and it really didn't help at all because they ended up having to induce me. The best thing to do is have sex because the fluids help thin out the cervix. Other than that it really is just a waiting game. Good luck and congratulations. I hope you have the baby soon.

Point one million: Every occasion has to uncover volunteers to face as applicants. Not sufficient volunteers - no longer sufficient applicants. Point two: Standing in a hopeless ward, despite the fact that fascinating for the entire country wide events, isn't continuously realistic, and, of direction, expenditures cash. Standing way striking up a deposit, and publishing election fabric. Point three: In 2007 I do not believe any occasion is fielding applicants in additional than 60% of the entire council seats up for election. There is a ward close me that's obviously solidly Tory. A few years in the past the Tories could not uncover a candidate. Nor might every other occasion besides Labour. So he gained the seat through default. The man was once a conventional ancient staunch socialist and it was once fairly ironic that he spend four years representing a top Tory rural ward. The Tories made definite they publish a candidate four years later. P.S. If you are going to cite Shakespeare you will have to no less than comprehend it. "Wherefore" honestly way "why are you", no longer "wherein are you". Juliet was once asking why Romeo needed to be from a loved ones with whom hers had a feud.

Oh you need to walk. When I was induced with my 3rd baby, they had me walk to the halls and that did it. I didn't even have to have potocin. When I got to the hospital I wasn't dilated either and they said my cervix was very thick so walking will help you.
