Question:
I STILL don't have an official due date! What to do?

According to my LMP, I am due on June 15th (my birthday!) which makes me 10.5 weeks pregnant today. I got pregnant right after going off the pill, which I guess could have messed up my ovulation time a bit. At my ultrasound, the tech wrote down "due date: June 15th, EDD: June 24th". What does this even mean? We're going to start announcing to family and friends soon, and I don't even know what to say my due date is! I want to say June 15th since it's my birthday :)

Also, I know a due date is just an estimate and the baby will come whenever he/she feels like it, but it's driving me crazy not knowing exactly how far along I am (9.5 or 10.5 weeks)? Since I'm still in my first trimester and anxiously awaiting my second, every extra week counts!!

So what should I assume is my official due date?

Well since you know when your lmp was go with that, but at the same time you could give or take a few days...the ultrasound tech is just going off of the measurements. Once the baby is a little bigger they will likely change the date because they will get a better measurement!

The "due date" is based off your LMP so that is the June 15th date, BUT your ultrasound shows that you aren't as far along as you think. Most women do not ovulate on the 14th day of their cycle and that's why the 2nd date is later. You obviously ovulated later than you though and your closer to accurate date will be June 24th. I know it's tempting to tell family and friends the earlier date, but when that time rolls around and you STILL haven't had the baby it can get very frustrating. I would tell people either the June 24th day or just say "in mid June" that will usually cover it without too many questions.
Baby Evan is due May 18th!

if they ultrasound tech changed the date it's most likely because of the size of the baby. I went in for an ultrasound on 10/08/09 and thought I was 12 weeks along based on LMP due on April 21, come to find out I was only 8 weeks and due on May 21. So I would go with the June 24th date for now, but your date is most likely going to change once more.

Your due date will likely change aboyt 3-4 times thoughtout your pregnancy. Especially after ultrasounds. Ive got 2 different due dates and im only 10 weeks along now. My due date is June 19th, Dont stress about an "official" due date because you wont know till the day that child wants to pop out. EDD is short for EXPECTED due date. Not official.

I am 10 weeks and 1 day and my due date is June 20th. My guess would be that you are closer to June 15th for a due date if based on your period.

But if they measured the baby in an ultrasound that is more accurate than going on your last period so it is possible that you are only 9.5 weeks and your due on the 24th.

Call your doctor and ask him to verify your due date for you.

I would go with the June 24th due date for the time being. It may have been a bit early for the ultrasound tech to tell. You will get a more concrete due date on your next ultrasound I'm sure.

If I were you, I'd relax!

Those dates are all just a guide - when I was pregnant with all my first two babies, we didn't get routine ultrasound tests, so I figured that the baby would come when it was ready.

My first baby's due date was February 7th - he arrived January 24th

My second baby's due date was October 8rd, she arrived on October 3rd

My third baby's due date was May 20th - she arrived on May 6th

Any date you are given is approximate, so relax and enjoy your pregnancy - your baby will arrive some time around mid to late June.

Good Luck!

I'd say June 15. The sonogram EDD will change so just go off your LMP.

Congratulations :)

particular, it incredibly is straight forward arithmetic. 13 weeks = 3 months. 3 months in the past it grew to become into March 7 or eighth. 9 months after March = December. So around December eighth plus 2 days = the 10th. So someplace around there.

I'd go with the later one or you can just call and ask your doctor your edd?
