I am due Dec 25th. My LMP was April 12. Going from that date my due date should be the 14th. Well I had a ultrasound done when I was 7 weeks cause I thought I was farther along than I was and that's when he told me I was 7 weeks so my due date calculation was correct. Then when I had my ultrasound done at 20 weeks they changed my due date to the 25th because of the babies size. So now they tell me anywhere between the 17th and the 25th. I think I am just having a small baby. I was small and so was the daddy and My belly isn't huge or anything. Has anyone had this happen to them? What was the outcome?

The ultrasound I had at 36 weeks said I was 38 weeks along. My doctor said it was just because my baby was going to be big. I delivered at 37 weeks and my son was only 6lbs 5ozs.

Did you count two weeks out from your last LMP? You don't get pregnant until two weeks out from your MP. Ultrasound are far better calculators than your last LMP. My original date was off be a couple of weeks because of my LMP I actually was farther along than I thought. And the ultrasound proved to be the correct date. There is no exactly perfect due date it is only an estimate. But as for the baby be just small, they measure the size of your uterus and placenta too, which would still read at the correct month.

they changed my due date 11 days due to the babys size.and hes was born a healthy 7 pounds 5 oz.and by the ultrasound he was 9 days early!!by my lmp he was 2 days late!!due dates are purely guesses anyways.they cannot be for sure when your baby will come and they base the size on an average anyways!all people dont fall into the "average"category.some people have smaller than average babys and some people have bigger ones!

My first due date was several weeks before the actual due date, like the first answer, they change them sometimes my first estimate was the 12th, and then they said the 25th, and I had him on the 25th...

If this is your first child you will learn quickly that due dates are estimates and they tweek them all the time. With my first child they changed my due date several times, same with this pregnancy. Ultrasounds are the best indicator of due date.

Due dates are never exact and all pregnancies are different. You due date is always changing. I would trust the ultrasound!

My friends pregnanacy - I was sure she was further along than what drs told her. Then eventually they upped her date too. The baby was larger than what they expected at that time.

I think she delivered before her due date.
