I am 21 weeks pregnant and might have listeriosis but midwife won't do tests. How can I go private in the UK?

I might have listeriosis and I am 21 weeks pregnant. My midwife said it is a very rare desease but I think better safe than sorry. I don't want to risk it. How can I go private? I want peace of mind....

Why do you think you have listeriosis? What are your symptoms. I knew of someone that lost their baby at term due to this, so its serious, especially if not treated quickly.



If you think you have it, go and see your doctor asap.

If you had listeriosis you'd be pretty darn sick and I doubt you'd be feeling well enough to be sitting on the internet.



If you don't trust your midwife's opinion, find a regular doctor.

im a hypochondriac and i thought i had it when i was pregnant too!, it was just gastro food poisoning,,, it is rare,,, i hope your ok, xxxxxxxxxxx
