Okay so back in july i ate two crackers with cream cheese and smoked salmon. the salmon was WARMED but not piping hot.. at this time I was 12 weeks pregnant. Around this time i was having morning sickness, i always had pretty bad morning sickness.. Two days later though it was worse and my nausea was more severe and I vomited twice. I felt better that night at 1am and it was gone. I vomit because of my morning sickness but this felt kindof different.. At the time I thought nothing of it thought it was just pregnancy because my doctor only told me about soft cheeses and deli meat causing listeria but now I found out that smoked seafood can too and symptoms usually appear 2 days later =( I'm sooo worried and I don't know if the salmon caused this or i'm just over reacting.. also I don't know if this matters but I got an ultra sound 5 weeks later, and so far everything has been good with my pregnancy and he moves around all the time. I know it's late now for me to me dwelling on this but I can't stop thinking about it because it was a dumb mistake on my part that could really harm my child.. I could really use some advice and opinions right now.. =( Thanks!

I'm pretty sure things are okay now. If your dr doesn't know about this you should discuss with him and he may do some extra testing to see if things are ok. Im pretty sure if your baby was sick you would also be showing symptoms..When I was 5 weeks pregnant (didnt know it at the time because my periods run 35 days) I took an ibuprofen and had a glass of wine the same night...then I had a few salads that had bleu cheese as well as a couple ham sandwiches the next week.. Didn't know that was a no no yet... But things are developing great. You should be fine.

18 weeks 1 day :)

Symptoms of listeria usually appear within thirty days and could take up to two months to appear, however you're already past that two month mark so you don't need to worry. If your baby would have been effected you would have known by now and the ultrasound would have already shown any problems if something had harmed your baby at the time you didn't feel well. We all make mistakes while pg, and thankfully usually everything is okay. They say a good indicator of fetal health is fetal movement, my doctor says an active baby is a healthy baby, so keep attuned to baby's movements and feel reassured that all is well. :)

I understand that you are worried and I am not doctor but I am fairly sure you have nothing to worry about, especially since you have had a healthy ultrasound and can feel movement. I had really bad food poisoning from cream cheese at a restaurant when I was 3 months pregnant with my now almost 5 yr. old. I was hospitalized for days and was incredibly sick. My baby was perfectly healthy and born full term w/ absolutely no complications.

If you are really concerned you should consult with your midwife/pediatrician and they should be able to assure you there is nothing to worry about.

Not quite recommendation... however, I used to be informed that I obviously can not cross within the pool while I'm pregnant?! But, swimming is among the exceptional matters on your frame while you're pregnant? Or, you can harm your child when you lay in your belly or poke at your belly... and, every person desires to let you know that the whole lot you're feeling is "too quickly for that." The matters we get to listen to! :) Congrats and well success!

Sigh....

you pregos do so much more harm by obsessing over stupid sh!t like this than actually doing it. I feel sorry for your child.
