I would at least call the doctor and ask them if that much activity (and that kind of activity) is ok. I would think that ab workouts and strenuous workouts should be avoided. This is a very crucial time in your pregnancy so its important to play it safe. I know that exercise is alright - I just don't know how much and what kind of exercises are to be avoided. You should definitely ask for the advice of your ob/gyn - they will take your calls even if you have not seen them yet. I called them a few times with questions before my appointment.

You can do all areobic exercises until you feel you can no longer do it comfortably. As far as push ups and sit ups it's said it's not best to do any activity that brings your tummy close to the ground or crucnched while pregnante. There's a fear of tangling the cord around the baby's neck. I say finish the class but not the push ups or sit ups.

Check with your DR. My mom was doing Tia-kwan-do and kick boxing before she got prego and he Dr told her she could keep doing it all as long as she felt comfortable doing it. Everyone is different
